The Midsummer Mediterranean Dinner

The Italian passion for food is reflected in the desire to use only the freshest seasonal ingredients. In Italy, traditional open-air markets are popular and on certain days vendors will set up stalls or park their refrigerated trucks in a piazza attracting shoppers with their fresh and seasonal offerings. Sound familiar? Here we have the farmers market, a similar tradition.

Join us at Villa Bellezza’s new Education Center at Sala del Vino and learn how to make the most of the season's bounty, Italian-style. This special seasonal menu will include Olive Saltate (sauteed olives and scallops with wine), fresh fettuccine with asparagus gorgonzola sauce, Lonza al Sugo (pork medallions cooked in wine and mushroom sauce), Insalata di Finocchi (fresh fennel, ripe tomatoes and baby mozzarella salad), and for dessert, Mirtilli al Sorbetto (fresh berries cooked with our Dolce White dessert wine over mango sorbet).

If you can, join us for a pre-class social hour at 5pm in Sala del Vino. In the Italian tradition, you'll be greeted with a glass of our sparkling Brillante Rosa. As you cook through each course, you will taste wines Chef Antonio has selected to pair with this special seasonal menu! Wine will also be available for purchase should you wish to enjoy a glass of your favorite Villa Bellezza wine during class, or purchase bottles to take home.
This class is part of a series that will take you on a sensory tour of the culinary regions of Italy. You'll gain new knowledge and appreciation of wine and Italian cuisine as Chef Antonio shares his skill and expertise with you, as well as his love for his homeland. Join us on our tour at any point along the way--watch our website and Facebook page for future classes!
Each session is $75/person. Guests are invited to come early for a pre-class social hour in Sala del Vino.
